The right method for your specific problem

Every appointment starts with listening. Only then do I decide which tools will work best for your particular case.

My approach to treatment

I don't believe in one method for everyone. My clinical toolkit combines Western physiotherapy techniques with Chinese medicine — and I use what works for that person at that moment.

Below you'll find all appointment options and an explanation of the techniques I use. If you're unsure what to book, start with the standard Pain Relief Session. We'll assess together what's needed.

TREATMENT METHODS

The tools I use

This isn't a menu to choose from. Method selection is my clinical decision. This section explains what I have available and when I use each approach.

Manual Therapy

Joint manipulations and mobilisations, myofascial techniques. The foundation of every treatment.

Joints Spine Mobility

Manual Therapy

Joints Spine Mobility

Manual therapy encompasses techniques applied directly to tissues — joints, muscles, and fascia. I use mobilisations (gradual restoration of movement) and manipulations (fast, precise techniques to restore joint function).

When I use it:

  • Spinal pain and stiffness (cervical, thoracic, lumbar)
  • Restricted joint range of motion
  • Cervicogenic headaches
  • Myofascial tension patterns
Multiple acupuncture needles placed along the spine

Acupuncture

Traditional Chinese medicine used to enhance treatment outcomes. Studied in Shanghai.

Chinese medicine Chronic pain Tension

Acupuncture — Chinese medicine in practice

Chinese medicine Chronic pain Tension

Acupuncture is a Chinese medicine technique I studied during a year in Shanghai. It involves inserting very fine needles at specific points on the body, influencing energy flow and regenerative processes.

In my practice, I use acupuncture as a complement to physiotherapy — not a replacement. Combining both approaches achieves results that neither achieves alone.

When I use it:

  • Chronic pain that hasn't responded to physiotherapy alone
  • Tension headaches and migraines
  • Stress and muscle tension
  • Supporting recovery from injury

Dry Needling

Precision release of trigger points. Fast results for persistent muscle tension.

Trigger points Muscles Tension

Dry Needling

Trigger points Muscles Tension

Dry needling is a Western physiotherapy technique — not to be confused with acupuncture. It involves precisely inserting a needle into a trigger point — an area of excessive muscle tension.

The result: immediate release, reduced pain, and improved muscle function.

When I use it:

  • Chronic muscle tension (shoulder, neck, back)
  • Muscle pain that doesn't resolve with massage
  • Athletes with persistent overuse symptoms
  • As a complement to manual therapy

Therapeutic Exercise

Targeted exercises and movement re-education. Learn how to not come back with the same problem.

Exercise Stabilisation Prevention

Therapeutic exercise and movement education

Exercise Stabilisation Prevention

Good physiotherapy treats you in the clinic — but good rehabilitation starts with what you do outside it. I prepare an individual home exercise programme for every patient.

These aren't generic "exercises from the internet" — they're specific movement tasks adapted to your problem, fitness level, and lifestyle.

In the PRO Session: exercises are recorded on video — you can see exactly how to perform them correctly.

Soft Tissue Techniques

Deep tissue massage, fascial release, IASTM. Working on tension, scar tissue, and restricted movement.

Massage Fascia Scar tissue

Soft tissue techniques

Massage Fascia Scar tissue

A collective term for various manual methods applied to muscles, fascia, and periarticular tissue. These include:

  • Deep tissue massage — releasing tension in deeper muscle layers
  • Myofascial release — working with fascial tension patterns
  • IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilisation) — tools for scar tissue and adhesions
  • Neuromuscular taping — supporting recovery and proprioception

Applied according to clinical need — not as a ritual on every visit.

Patient Education

I explain what I'm doing and why. You leave the clinic with knowledge — not just temporary relief.

Knowledge Ergonomics Lifestyle

Education and communication

Knowledge Ergonomics Lifestyle

One of my priorities is that you understand your condition — not just feel better after the session. I explain the cause of pain, the mechanism of treatment, and what you can do independently to make results last.

Education includes:

  • Plain-language explanation of your diagnosis
  • Ergonomic guidance (work, sport, daily activities)
  • Exercise and self-management plan
  • Recurrence prevention

Knowledge is part of the treatment — not an optional extra.
